The ResurFX™ laser is developed by Lumenis®, one of the world's leading makers of medical devices, as a skin resurfacing option that prioritizes patient comfort just as much as effectiveness.
The ResurFX™ laser uses state-of-the-art CoolScan™ which allows for specific treatment areas to be targeted in a controlled manner, that protects the skin tissue from heat accumulation and overheating. This ability is unique to the ResurFX™ and the handpiece is equipped with continuous contact cooling, to increase comfort during treatment and protects the epidermis. ResurFX™'s innovative laser technology allows for different treatment shapes, sizes and density for optimal treatment results.
Fractional Skin Resurfacing causes tiny dot, or pixel-like damage to treated areas in the skin, leaving most of the surrounding skin intact. New collagen is produced via the injury to the dermis, which helps reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles, scarring & acne. Fractional Skin Resurfacing allows the skin to heal much faster than if the whole area was treated, as the healthy, untreated tissue surrounding the treated tissue acts as a natural bandage whilst the treated area heals.
Your skin will feel very hot after the treatment, which can last for several hours. Depending on the intensity of the treatment you may experience redness and crusting of the treated area for the following 2-5 days.
